I was wondering... If I make a new save file and put my paths that are currently in my town (on the ground.) onto that characters designs, and then delete the same paths that are in my mayor (main) save file, will they still be in my town and not corrupted?
I love the QR sewing machine but ever since I put down paths, I had limited space.
Please answer! I don't make to try and it and it messes up the paths that are in my town currently. It took almost 5 days to place down with my schedule.

I believe the character that laid the paths put is the one that needs to keep the designs in their storage thing.

So, you would need to lay all the paths out again with the extra character.

Ooh good question. I think if you've out down paths with that character the paths will always use that character slot. Does that make sense? So if you delete the paths from that character it will still delete the paths. Your best bet, though time consuming, will be to re-lay the paths with your alt character and then you can delete the designs from your main.

What do you think I should do then? Delete the paths on my main and then re-lay them in my new save file?

That was what I did. I got the paths for my 2nd character and took off and relay all my paths. The deleted the paths from my main character and it stayed. It took a while but now I have more space for qr codes on my main.

Yes, you have to have the 2nd character lay the designs down. but I wouldn't take them up yet! Your 2nd character can be the one to scuff them away, so you can use her/him to remove and relay the paths so you don't have to remember what you did. That way it will still be tedious but you're just picking them up and putting them back down.
