Either way, here are my questions:

Let's say it's the 10th, and my Octavian tells me that he's leaving on the 15th. If I were to time travel back to the 1st of the month (either all at once or day by day), would he have already left because it counts days, or would he patiently wait for the 15th to arrive?
(I am aware that if it was an accident allowing him to leave I can just pester him while he's outside until he mentions it again, at which point I can tell him to stay, I'm wanting to know how moving out relates to time travel).

The next question, let's say I woke up one morning to my Stitches in boxes, without ever having asked me to go. At this point, I know moving forward a day will obviously have him gone. I'm -fairly- certain even going back a day will have him have gone, giving me no chance to get him back.
However, if I keep setting the clock back and do not allow it to become the next day, will he remain in boxes until I do allow it to become 6:00 the following day?

I -think- that's all, but if more questions come to mind then I'll edit this post (if I haven't been pointed somewhere else by then).
Thank you in advance for all your help, and sorry if I've created a pointless thread! If I have, I'll be more careful next time I'm confused and do more research before posting.

I don't know about your first question; but I can tell you that you can keep a villager in boxes for a while by changing the clock settings, yes. Keep in mind that they will be sleeping at some point late at night and early in the morning, but that's about it. I'm sure other people have more insightful answers to give you.

Thank you! At least there's that much. I'm just about to be 'babysitting' a town, and I wanted to make sure that was a workable option if I accidentally messed up. (though hopefully everything will be just fine)

Oh, and I'm pretty sure you can change a villager's mind from moving if you're good friends with them. It happened to me a couple of times, but it's rare, I think?

Good luck! :)

Changing a villagers mind from moving was pretty common to me o.o

Also, I believe if you go backwards within that same month it would delay him?

To your first question. If A villager pings you and says they are moving on the 15th. If you go back in time the villager will ping you again and say they are moving on a new date. I have had this happen before. So if you go back it counts as 1 day but it will mess up you villagers plans to leave within a certain amount of days. So they will tell you their new moving date. Usually within the same time as the first move date.

Your second question if you stay on the same day that the villager is in boxes (6:00 am - 5:59 am the next day) then they will stay in boxes.

To answer your first question, if you're travelling backwards in time, no matter how many days you travel in a jump, it will count as one day. So if you travel back to the 1st in one go, that'll mean that only one day has passed, and Octavian will move in 4 days from then ie 5th of the month. But if you travel backwards day by day, then each day will count as a day, and he'll move after you've travelled 5 days backwards (if you see what I mean).

I was wondering how people delayed villagers in boxes. What happens when you tt with someone moving in? Like having their house location roped off or having them in town but just unpacking? I tt'ed forward to get space for a villager and I want to tt back to the right day.
