Questions for town restarting!

Hi! I'm probably going to restart my town today or tmmrw bc my town layout is really... meh.
Anyway I just had some questions on what I would keep and lose.

Basically I just want the pros and cons of town restarting. I'm going to hand my bells and items over to my friend while I restart so that won't be an issue.
Btw does your friends, and bestfriends restart if you town restart?

your best friends start over, yes. You'll still appear in their lists but you won't be online ever again through that name. They'll need to delete it c:

Oh thanks for telling me that. You know town restarting doesn't sound so bad.. you don't lose much if you're new lol.
