I know that you are able to have someone come to your town to convince a villager to move to their town, but if you have multiple people over at different times, would they all be able to convince that villager to move to their town?

No, that won't work. Only one person can claim a villager. After a villager has agreed to move to someone's town no one else will be able to enter their house.
