is it possible to make a villager dislike you? i know they get mad when you give them rotten fruit or push them, but if you do that regularly will you actually make them hate you full time? also, do you guys have any advice for befriending villagers? beau is always in his house or out shopping so i havent been able to become better friends yet. whenever anyone asks for fruit, i always give them a perfect apple bc i heard that helps, is that true? thank you so much :)

Perfect fruit does improve on happiness more so than ordinary fruit. Also if they ask for fish/bugs and you give them a free fish/bug.
Send them letters and include the keywords: love, friend, present, and name of the item you are sending them and it will it increase their happiness a ton. If you don't like "messing up" their house just send them fruit or flooring/wallpaper. Do as many favors as possible and if they aren't in their house or outside just save and quit or reset until they are. I have the same issue with Jeremiah who I just got. As far as I know they can't hate you full time.

They won't dislike/hate you. It's a kids' game so that wouldn't go over well with Nintendo and parents if villagers talked bad about you. However, their friendship level won't go up or it'll just stay neutral. Usually this would mean they would give you the basic tutorial dialogues.

Perfect fruits does help, so does doing signature requests, sending them letters, and doing requests, just talk to them lots and eventually you'll get their picture and that would be the ultimate proof of high friendship levels.

I find that generally if a villager is new to the town, as in they just moved in, they would be inside their homes or on main street or in the museum more. I guess it would be like in real life how people take a while to unpack their homes and explore the place before getting acquainted with the neighbors. After a while, usually 3-5 days, you should be able to see them walking around. If a villager isn't new, you could always just save quit and go back into the game. Eventually they would be out walking about, you might need to just take out a megaphone and call their name to find them.

Every single day, I yell into Rocco (A Grumpy villager)'s ear, shove him into pitfall traps and then laugh at him, Hit him with my net many times, push him a lot, fill the local fence up with pitfalls, push him into there, seal him in with holes and declare him to be in "Gay Baby Jail." I also enjoy standing him up on home invites, accepting invites and leaving early (While being sure to tell him his house sucks) interrupting him when trying to catch fish or bugs, opening packages for him before I give it to him, giving him bugs when he asks for fruit, pushing him away from event boards he tries to read, buying Re-tail stuff he's checking out, Jacking up the prices suddenly when he comes in to browse my stuff, leaving my house when he pops in, refusing his favor requests, sending him trash and rotten food, getting his coffee wrong and giving him terrible dialogue variables.
And the next time I talk to him, he always opens with stuff along the lines of:
"Hey, do you have something to say? Is it 'hippie?'"
"What did you need, Red?"
"What's up, Red?"
"Good to see you're still surviving, hippie!"
"Hey, cousin, let's go bowling!" Wait, wrong game.

I'm sick and tired of everyone being my friend! Not matter what I do, he's always my chum in half an hour! And he's a GRUMPY, for goodness sake! Grumpies are supposed to be the most jerkish villagers in the game! I just want one person to be unfriendly toward me. ONE!! Is that to much to ask?! I want some conflict, dang it! CONFLICT!!

The weird thing about villagers is, they ping you more if they have a higher friendship with you. I guess the game just wants you to get to know a villager better before it decides to take it out of your town. I had a villager I couldn't stand, but he refused to leave. Once I gave up and started talking to him, doing chores for him, and scheduling play dates with him. He pinged me and decided to leave.

That's not what I'm worried about. I couldn't care less whether he moves out or not; I just want someone to not get along with. Everybody else is friends with me; I would just like ONE enemy.
