Questions about 16 Villager Cycling

Hi guys! I've recently run into an issue where I am extremely limited on where I can place a second bridge and moving out a Villager and cycling to get her (Mira) back is the best option. (If you are curious about what my bridge placement problems are just check out this thread here.) So, anyways before I get started I have some questions.

Is it easier and/or significantly faster to to cycle with 9 Villagers (I'd like to keep them all if possible) or is it better to keep 8 villagers (I'm considering on letting Flip go) and find a new Jock to replace him with later (I'm thinking of getting Rod instead)?

Also so for those who have experience in cycling for a villager, how long did it take and how many villagers did you keep while cycling?

Otherwise I think I'm good, as I'm experienced with carefully time travelling and getting villagers to move out. Thanks for any info! ^.^

How many villagers have you cycled through since Mira? If you haven't gone through any yet, an option is to let Flip go and cycle through the 16 for Mira, then once you're done with that you'll only need one more cycle to get Flip back if you really want him.
I'm currently in the same situation of having to cycle through 16 villagers as well so I'm not sure how long it would take, but my sister did it a while ago and it took her about 3 months to get her villager back. She still had school though so if you're on summer vacation it would probably take a shorter time.

I've only just started so Mira has not moved out yet. I'm not too worried about Flip I think I may actually like Rod better so I'm trying to TT him out now. But thankfully I'm not in school for a few months so I should have lots of time to TT. Good luck on your cycling. ^.^
