Question: Shooting stars with multiple player characters?

Do these stack? Like I wish on stars on one char, then switch to another, am I able to continue farming the fragments so I have more the next day? Or does only one "players" wishes count for my yield the following day.
Also yes, I'm a time traveler so no worries there.

From what I've read, you get up to 20 fragments per character, not in total. I imagine it works similarly to message bottles, wherein, they won't show up until you sign as your other character(s).

yes that's how it works in my experience. Each character can get 20, but they don't show up until you play as that character. You don't have to collect them though with the second character, you can switch back to your main character and the star frags will still be there for you to collect

it's like the bottles that wash up, the bottles for one character doesn't show up for the other characters. stars only show up for one character, the one who wished on shooting stars

Anyone who makes 20 wishes will get the star fragments next morning. The host can make wishes on their own to get the star fragments. No stacking.

It's 20 per character, but from what I noticed only 10 stars wash up per hour either way.

I.e. if I collect 10 on character A, then switch to character B, there won't be anymore stars on the beach (maybe like 1-2). So usually I just TT an hour ahead after I collect 10 stars and repeat.

I could be wrong but that's what I've noticed for the meteor showers I've had haha
