Hey guys, it's been a fair few months since I picked up the game due to new job and life commitments, I had to put my game file back quote a few months to make sure I didn't lose anyone and my game was already a bit far in the past and as a result I'm a year in the past :/

I remember there being a safe TTing trick but can't quite remember, I think it was something like wait for a villager to ping to leave and once you accept/reject you can save and travel forward as far as you like and no one will move. Or maybe have a villager in boxes and go forward a year?

Can't quite remember and there's some villagers I really couldn't bear to lose but really want to be playing the right dates since I'm trying a leisurely day-by-day no TT approach this year.

Thanks!

Yup. Once a villager pings you to move, you can accept or reject him. once you do that, you can just time travel and nobody else will move.

I do that trick with denying a villager's moving request and then TTing a lot and it has always worked for me. I've heard other people say it hasn't worked for them though.
