hello all! i have a bit of a question to ask (but not without context heh)

i'm currently trying to move fauna into my town, and i've been plot resetting for roughly 24 hours now. i want her to move right beside julian, but i don't think it's working because there's a vertical bridge near his home.

however, there's enough space for her to be there (while the bridge exists at that spot), because i had Maple's house beside julian's, and there was enough room to build a bridge.

now for my actual question!

is it possible to load my mayor BACK to the day i adopted fauna, take out the bridge, reload to the next day and continue plot resetting like normal?

i imagine that it would work, considering it would end up being the same day, and i still haven't loaded the map to permanently stick fauna's house somewhere in town. i'd just like to confirm if this would work or not before i screw up majorly!

nevermind it doesn't work

I'm actually not sure. Whenever you go back. It's counting as one day. But if you haven't planed then it wouldn't save as her plotting so you should be ok! :)

It should, since I have done this before. However, I would recommend checking with a new character first. If no plot is there when you TT back to the day before, then you're safe :)

by TTing to the day before, do you mean changing the date on my 3DS? :o

I dont think so I think she would move in if you go back on the day she plots her house thats the only day to plot reset

That's probably your best and safest option, since you can't load a new character and change the clock with the in-game method.

I do hope you can get her plot where you want it. I found out recently, however, that you can't always put a bridge back, so be sure you like your decision. I had a bridge, built the cafe nearby, and then I tried to change the bridge design. No bridge can be rebuilt there - not even the style I had before - because now the cafe is too close. Several people here verified that I was able to build the cafe close to the budge, but not the bridge close to the cafe. It defies logic, but I do believe that they are correct.

okay, so.. update!

i set my 3DS a day backward and created a new character to scout for fauna's house plot, and it doesnt appear to be on the map!

is it safe to load my mayor, or should i just have this character move in to delete later? (just to secure things)

hmm, i see. the thing is that i built the bridge after maple (trying to move fauna where maple used to be) and diana moved in. there's enough space for a 2 block wide path + trees on each side, plus flowers right around their house. :o

I'd save just in case, that way your town is saved and for sure that the plot isn't there. After that you're free to load up your mayor.

No problem! I was like that, too, but for Rosie (I wanted her to be in the exact same spot as Francine's house used to be).

it didn't work.

i guess i forgot to check the bottom right of my map, and she ended up moving there. i guess it's okay though, because she lines up with bunnie and chief, who are also residents of the southwest end of town. :P

ahh well. nice to get a result from this. </3

hmm this has worked for me before. i've had to TT back and place many PWPs because a villager just would not stop placing their house in a specific spot.
since technically, you haven't loaded up your town as usual on the day faunas plot would appear, you could ask isabelle to make the date the day you asked fauna to move in, pay for the bridges demolition, then change the date to the next day 5:59AM and continue plot resetting as usual.

oh dear. D: at least you got somewhat of a nice turn-out.

Are you sure you followed the right steps though? When I did this it worked out for me.
