I have bred two blue violets and I would like to know if it is possible to get a different color from them. Reason why I ask is because the blue violets will give me white, purple, yellow and blue as well. I just want to know if this is normal to others that have bred their own blue violets.

Okay then. Yeah, I've seen this chart before and it makes sense. I wonder then what is happening to my blue violets.

Blue Violets can be as unstable as pink flowers, so they spawn non hybrids just as often as pinks. The colors they spawn depend on the hidden color properties of the parents you got them from.

For instance, if a purple and yellow formed another purple, the new purple also gains the 'yellow' property of the yellow parent. Then, if you used the new purple along with a white to get a blue, That blue has the properties of all the other violet colors, and can spawn any of the colors.

The trick to blue violets is to breed only with completely new purple and white one from flower bags or island tours, and never breed with non-hybrids that may spawn from them. Then once you get two blues, try to get two more blues solely from the pair, isolating the newer ones immediately. These newer blues will most often spawn more blues instead of non-hybrids, and it gets easier from there.

Okay, that makes a lot of sense I'll try that and see if I can get the blue violets. Also, the breeding of plants seem so complicated. Thank you for the information! I really appreciate it! :)

I have one town that is made up of just white & purple violets, mainly lining the paths. I have a lot of blue from these, but those blue don't seem to make any more flowers - although that's difficult to say for sure as I've not got them set up for breeding.

I pull any yellow violets the villagers plant. (the few I've set up with purple have not bred blue).

A good tip from Lanstar - on using the island flowers (which mine mainly are) or flower bags.
I haven't followed the advice as I've left all the extra purple/white ones down - and it may (may, not certain) have affected the number of blue I'm getting - I should prune it all down, I definitely got more blue when I didn't have huge blocks (with spaces) of purple/white (rather than a single line of them lining the paths). Blue violets are easy tho - they breed quickly.
