Question on a certain glitch in new horizons

Okay, so. I've spent the last 30 minutes on searching for a guide to glitch a tree on a cliff (done that) and now, I want to know if there is a way to plant a tree next to a river? Please help, my frustration is taking over.

I have tried searching youtube for the tree and water glitch, but nothing cane up but for only a tree and cliff glitch/fourth cliff glitch.
