[Question] How to add friend codes via the Internet?

How do you add friend codes? I never figured out how, and I'm hoping someone could teach me. Please?

Tap on the square smiley face icon at the top of your home screen and Tap on 'Register friend'

at the homescreen, go to the orange smiley face at the top of the touch screen.

now press register friend
