Question for people who have successfully created a rock garden...

I'm about to begin attempting to get my rocks grouped into one collective area, and was just wondering a couple things...

1.) How long did it take you? Most of my island is already taken up with paths/houses/furniture/flowers so I'm hoping it won't take me as long as some of the times I've seen posted.

2.) I don't like seeing rocks on top of grass squares with paths on each side, so what are my options...just the dirt or sand panels from the Island Designer?

1) My rock garden took 4 hours to complete... I thought I filled it up really well but apparently not.
2) Yeah, just dark/light dirt and sand path

Put a design as a mannequin in empty spaces, rocks need 3x3 to spawn.
They won't grow next to cliffs or rivers, or behind trees 4 spaces behind trees won't appear.
If you do this, and don't miss any space is one day per rock.
Also they can grow next to flowers, so check those spaces.

Yes rocks only appear in grass, sand or dirt, no custom paths or rock, wood,brick ones.
