Question about villagers moving

Hi everyone. c: So I have a bit of a silly question. I just had a villager tell me she'll be moving out soon. She's not someone I want to stay in my town so I said she could leave, but she got all suspicious & said she's going to stay to make sure we become "better friends" instead .___.;
I rarely reset my game but...if I reset is there any chance next time she'll just leave? Or if I just ignore her, will she leave anyway without announcing it?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that means that he'll be staying. Within the next week a different villager should announce that they're thinking about leaving. I TT a lot and in my experience the same villager never asks to move out twice in a row. I don't know if this is the case for everyone though...

Quillson said he'd stay to become better friends too... so I reset and then next time I told him to leave he actually said he was going to leave. Then he left like he said he would.

Thanks for answering, Pocky & Lin. ^-^ Good news. xD I decided to reset - I hadn't done much important yet except check my mail anyway. & This time she agreed about moving, said she'll miss me and hopes we'll stay friends until she leaves. Yay! :3
