Question about villager photos...

I've received 5 photos from my villagers at this point, but every time, it was as a return gift after gifting them something. I've never received a photo my doing a favor, a villager ping, mail, the treasure hunt...

Has anyone received a picture by doing something OTHER than giving a gift?

Most of the photos I have received are gifts in return for something I've given.

But Boone sent me his in the mail. I wasn't expecting it at all.

Wow, I was under the impression you could only get them by gifting as well but I guess that's not true!

I've only gotten my photos as a return for something I've given them. Sometimes when I give them gifts and sometimes when I do a favour for them.

Perfect! So at least one other way is possible Gifting might just be more common because it usually triggers an item being sent..

Yeah, I've only gotten mine as return gifts, so it's cool to see that someone has gotten one in the mail!
