Question About Trading and the Shadow Realm

I have one villager in the void right now, and was wondering....would having someone come over to invite a villager or me going over to them automatically cause them to get that villager? I am planning 4 trades in the future, and I am worried I will end up with someone they voided, or they will end up with someone I voided. Can someone explain how this works? Because Iam worried I will mess up trades in the future.

IIRC, If you have an empty plot, then a villager from a Void can move in! If you don’t want a villager from a Void, you should fill the empty plot before visiting people.
