Question about tomadachi life cartridge

If you stick the cartridge into another 3ds, are there any issues? Just asking since it is mii based. Will it mess up the game at all?

I wouldn't really know since I own the digital version, but I assume it either does or it saves them to the cartridge.

Nope. It won't. But, if the other DS has a different time set, the shops won't restock for 1 day.

The penalty will take effect if you stick Tomodachi Life game card to a 3DS other than the one you previously played with, no matter how the time and date are set. Even a slight difference in the timing can trigger the flag as well.
