So i've decided that I want to reset my town but the only problem is that it's fairly new. So obviously, I wouldn't be able to appraise it. So I was wondering how long i'd have to time travel ahead in game so my town tree would be at full size? so I could appraise it. I don't usually time travel, so my town is on the normal time and date.

I just checked online and it looks like it's 500 days and 500 hours to get the full tree size. That said I'm not sure if it needs to be 500 hour clocked on your specific town or if it goes by the time played logged in your 3DS. I guess you could TT 500 days out and see if it grew to full size. The tree actually grows according to how many hours you are playing, so you have to leave it open for several hours. I decided to do this once and I just left it plugged in over night, and the next morning I quit & saved, and then the tree was big enough for me to sell the town at that point. Someone else may have the exact amount of hours because I don't remember off the top of my head, but I want to say it's 20 hours til it's big enough to sell.

I did this recently. I had been playing for 30 days and had received my Village Representative Badge (for playing 50 hours.) I time traveled one day at a time for 20 more days until I was able to sit on the town tree. Then I sold my town. Worked out perfectly. So it seems to be 50 hours of play and 50 days played.
