Question about the NL Amiibos

This question was getting pushed away in the designated thread so I'll make a thread for it here hoping to get answers...

Original Question:

"When will the New Leaf amiibos be available in stores?

Also, will they be in "trading card packs" like a lot of trading cards, or will you be able to know which ones you're getting? There's literally only ONE amiibo card that I want."

The Amiibos have been in stores since Christmas of last year and the cards have been in stores since fall of last year.
It's been a bit hard for me to bump into the Amiibos and the cards, but it's really easy to find them in GameStop.
I wouldn't suggest buying them from a store though as you can buy them from Amazon for $6 (or at least you could before the update, I don't know if the prices have returned back to $12)
The card packs are blind bags and come in packs of 6.
There are series, so you can guess what you'll get whichever series pack you buy.
If you're looking for just 1 card, you can easily buy it on eBay for $1 from someone.

edit: If this is about the new cards then they'll be out in December.

December 2nd. Pretty sure they'll be random... Just like you, I only want one card as well XD They're already out in Japan, but I can't seem to find any. If you find them, lemme know!

Are you talking about the ~new villager~ amiibos? That would depend where you live. If you're from the US then you'll have to wait until December 2nd. I'm pretty sure they're going to work exactly like the hhd card amiibos where they come in packs of six cards and they'll be random. There's a possibility there might be a card trade exchange where you can trade with other users but that's up to the mods to decide even though there's one up for hhd.

Yes, I'm talking about the cards for the villagers you get on New Leaf (like Stella, Stu, Hornsby, Ketchup, Bitty, etc.).

They'll be out in December? Okay, that's good to know.

And I prob will be able to buy the card I want off of ebay or something. I only want the one card; I'm not going to need any other ones.

I live in Ohio so I'll be expecting them December 2nd.

Since I am 17 my parents won't allow me to trade or get stuff online from people... I can only do it if I'm paying for it and if it's on ebay or something.

I'll just find it somewhere and buy it.

If you don't care about the new items the villagers are carrying and you only want that one villager then ebay might be your best bet or if they end up being adoptable which I don't see why not that should work for you as well!

Unless I get super-serious about amiibos, I'm just going to stick with the one card. There are a few others I'm interested in, but they're not really important.

I really, really hope they're adoptable. That would be a lot easier for me, since I have an old 3DSXL and don't have the NFC reader yet.

on the subject, out of sheer curiosity, does anyone know if the non-JP packs also come with the stickers and such?
