Question about the Golden Axe

I sold mine accidently the other week, luckily it was from my other town and I just so happened to be only 2 saplings away from getting mine in my current town. I dodged a bullet there ;p

Yeah it's about 50 saplings, to be honest I just started buying and then selling them. I was fast running out of room for planting them all haha
Although I got pretty lucky with my first set as somebody was doing a gold tool giveaway, so keep a look out for things like that

I brought mine over from my first town, so i wasn't missing anything. Somehow I never got one from my current town, until last week when I started landscaping. I bought 2 or 3 saplings & Leif gave me my golden axe! I was surprised by that, thought I had earned it already.
