Question about Streetpass Badge

I'd like to get the streetpass badge. I know the numbers, and I know that the person I streetpass has to have it enabled in ACNL to count. I have multiple characters in my town, however, and I'm not sure who gets credit for the streetpasses or when.

Does Character 1 get credit just for being the model home? Does Character 1 also have to go up and meet the people each time? Or can Character 2 get credit by going up to meet everyone even though Character 1 is the model home? Finally, I have 2 games on different consoles, and they streetpass each other 3 times a day usually. Do I need to load up ACNL 3 times a day for each of them to count?

You get credit if you talk to the people in the Showcase, that's the only way. Model home does not matter.

I have extra players in each town. Only the mayor has received the street pass badge.
I street pass both systems twice each day. The mayors open ACNL game each time the green light appears.
I than clear the plaza.
Make sure the last game you played was ACNL. A couple of time I got a tag for systems settings.
You can open both games with the mayors and than street pass your systems to be sure.

That's a very good question! I was not aware you could choose which home should be the model home. That would be great!

One of my showcases has two model homes from my other town.
I switched showcase houses in my other town. The 1st one didn't disappear because I did a favorite on it.

I know that I have had both games in my main DS before I got a second. And one of the alts in my main town earned a badge after that. But perhaps you mean that I had started over at 0 again when I got the new DS?

Playing more than one copy of ACNL can be tricky. You have to remember to open the game you want the street pass for.
That's where I lost abunch of street passes. So I just open my main town when I see the green light.

But then which of the characters is getting credit? The one whose home is on display, or all four characters? I guess all four characters get credit for the perfect town, but it seems an odd way for a badge to work.

I have the mayor house on display and she has only got the credit.
Early on I was opening the other player first because she had the same birthday. She could do a quick check for the lucky item of the day and get the clothing. Also would open my other town first sometimes for turnip prices. Lost street passes.

My other 3DS that I bought later got a badge first. It got the tag first.

Yeah, you don't have to go there or to the streetpass plaza. I have silver in all three of my towns, and I have never even been to the streetpass plaza on the third 3DS. I have rarely been to the showcase plaza. If I have a green light, I just open the system and it goes away and it lights back up after a few hours. You may have to actually play, as you do, but I'm definitely getting the badges passively.

Well, it's certainly easier o know I don't need to go up to meet every new streetpass, but it sounds like I've been missing at least half of the passes with my own other town by not turning on the game after each pass.

I was also stuffing all the rare reorderables into an alt characters house with some complete sets and other items to help in the theme challenge. I thought I'd make his house the model, because it would be a fun surprise for people I streetpass. But it sounds like I need to get the badge for my main character first!
