Question about startup

So I'll try to explain this as clearly as possible.

I have 3 characters and one day as I was logging onto my alt, I went to go TT. So the menu where Isabelle gives you different options like, "Set the time; Demolish home; Reset town, etc." One of the option was "Move to another town." I don't know exactly what this means >_> Like...does my alt get to move to another town and just becomes mayor of a different town?

Much help is appreciated. I would've tested it out if I didn't already max out all the houses and dropped 8 mil on these characters -__-

You can move your secondary characters to another copy of the game. They can be secondary characters in a different town.

It's just for if you have another town (on a different cart), you can transfer alts to the new town I think.

Oh really?? For some reason I had thought they couldn't become mayor and could only remain secondary. I've never done it though, so I'll take your word for it!

I tried moving my sister's character from my game to her new one, but she already made a mayor, so it wouldn't let her. It was very disappointing, because she had to delete her character. D: Thanks. ^-^
