Question about Silver Shovel???

So i got a silver shovel a week back...and for the first 2-3 days whenver i used to hit a rock with it..ores came out...but all of a sudden now i only het one fake rock and the money bags as usual..did i do something wrong? Or is it supposed to be like that?? As in random?

It is random. To me, it just make sit feel all the better when I get ore instead of bell bags. Great start to my day

Yea...the one time i hit a rock, 3 gold nuggets came out ...it was awesum...i thought maybe it will work like day everyday..lol

3 gold ores awesome! It'd greatly help you get that pain in the butt golden furniture set! That is if you wanted it. But anyways yeah it's completely random weather you get bells or ores when using the silver shovel.

I know right i though the same too...lol
But my bad i gave Cyrus 6 gold ores and he made me 2 of the same pieces of furniture:-(
Now i have 2 gold drawers ....and on the secind note i found it to be pretty ugly :-(

If you use a silver shovel, it has a higher chance of spewing ores that's why you had it happen multiple times during the week, so it's not totally random. It's also definitely helpful for getting gold furniture or refurbishing. It's totally normal and great for when I needed to refurbish the modern series with sapphire, they just add a little extra sparkle to the series.

It's similar to the silver axe in that way. If you use the silver axe, you will have a special stump. Gold tools usually only have the advantage of lasting longer while silver tools have little quirks to make them a little more useful for people than regular tools.

You also might have been wearing the lucky item of the day.
While TT in my side town I hit the rock 5 to 6 times in a row and got ore. I was wearing the tingle hood at the time.
