Question about Paintings

Before I start, let me tell you all that I know that my painting I bought from Crazy Redd is legit.(Compared the painting to a pic that painting in legit form. Now that I got that out of the way, other than putting in a museum and hanging on a wall (And getting points in the HHA) do paintings serve any purpose whatsoever in ACNL? Also, how many points could be added to the score for having a painting??
