Question About Moving in Villagers

I just started my new town tonight! Can I move in villagers today or do I have to wait until at least tomorrow? Or do I have to have at least 8 villagers before I start doing that?

I want to stop time traveling in my other town, which will also make room for working on my new town. (I know it's not too relevant to my question, but some lovely people helped me out with getting set for this town the other day and thought I may explain why I'm starting it now.)

You can move in new villagers right away.Just don't forget to have your photo taken for your Town Pass Card.

You don't have to wait, go ahead and move someone in if you want! But if you decided not to move anyone in, you'd just get random move ins!
