Question about money from selling town

I sold my town when I remade and chose the option of installments for payment.
I made an alt character yesterday and today she has money in her abd that I didn't put there.

Is the money I made from selling my town going to both my mayor and her?
Will I get double the money now or the same amount and it's being shared between them?
