Question about Mom's gifts!

So I noticed while browsing nookplaza.net, certain gifts from mom are aligned with certain months! And of course, there are different variations. I was wondering, is there any set dates that correspond with the month for when you receive the letter from her? And if possible, can you TT backwards/forwards and receive different variations of the same item from her? Or would you have to rely on trading with others to get the certain color variant you're looking for?

I got mom's tissue box two or three days ago, and it is customizable! I think all of her items are?

I got the tissue box today. I believe all the furniture is customization, but the clothing might be lock to each player. I was lurking a thread earlier in the day talking about it. It may or may not be possible to get the other color variation of the clothing on different years.
