Question about making a second town

I have the Limited Edition Animal Crossing 3DS with NL preinstalled. So if I want to make a second town do I need anything other than a 2nd sd card? Thanks

You'd need another copy of the game. Just changing the SD card doesn't work as far as I'm aware. There are people who have tried it and lost their first down in doing so.

you cant have multiple towns by just changing the sd card. if you did that your main town file would be corrupt when you put in your old sd card again. you need to buy a physical copy of the game.

And if you want the two towns to interact with each other (trade between them, move villagers to the other town), you'll need another 3DS.

You need a second copy of the game. So you could play a separate town on the digital copy and another on the physical copy. Of course if you were doing this to have any interaction between the towns (a different native fruit for good trading, storage space etc) you would need a second 3DS.

Yup that was my plan. I was gonna tt in the 2nd town to get things for my main character. Oh well. Thanks all
