Question about kicking out most recent villager

The leaks say that the most recent villager shouldn’t ask to move out but others have stated they’ve had it happen, so I believe it’s probably at a very low chance or they could have just been anomalies. I’ve tried moving one before through TT and it just never happened.

So my question is, when the time comes that a villager other than the recent move in asks to move out and you say no to them, after the 5 day cooldown, will that mean that the recent move in can now be put on the block for potential moveouts?

Nope as long as the villager is your most recent move in they will never ask to move!
That's actually not true! One time when I was trying to get someone to move a couple weeks back, I was doing the TT method and I had Tom (the most recent move in at the time) ask to move out twice! Obviously I said no both times but I was surprised he even asked once. It's just a super low chance

I'm not sure if there's any recent news on this, but the most likely answer is that if the most recent move-in asks to move out, it's probably a bug. It isn't intended for the most recent move-in to be able to move out, but it can maybe happen due to... reasons. I'm also not sure if anyone has figured out if this supposed-bug has been patched or not.

In a nutshell, unless you can activate this supposed-bug, the most recent move-in is stuck there. There's always that one villager that's excluded (ignoring the other exclusions like the birthday one). If that excluded villager is set incorrectly, I'd assume that it would end up on a different villager who now wouldn't be able to move, so my completely uneducated hunch is that if you're TTing and every other villager has already asked to move except for that recent move-in, then you're probably out of luck.

The only way you can kick out your most recent move in is via camper or an amiibo. I heard about the most recent asking to move if you TT far in the future but kike FraudulentDimetrodon said, it's probably a bug and not a feature.

that makes sense! This was awhile ago when there were still a lot of bugs circling around. that's weird though since I've never hacked the game or purposefully activated a bug (I don't even know how to lmao)

he was the first one to have the thought bubble though, so I hadn't gone through all the other villagers first. weird haha

Such is the nature of bugs. :'D My completely uneducated hunch is that this bug (if it existed) was caused by TTing (backwards)? Maybe while moving in villagers? I'm not sure if that's relevant to you/others. Something along the lines of, TTing backwards messes up the move-in date for a villager, so it ends up earlier than what it should be, and so it thinks that a different villager has moved in "most recently"? There's a decent number of bugs that are either caused by/made more evident by TTing (backwards), like the exterior glitch, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the cause. Dates/times are common problems when it comes to programming.

And ah, yeah. Regarding the bubble, I just meant that, I assume that one villager is always excluded; it's just that the game picks the wrong villager. So with the bug, the newest villager gets added to the pool of villagers that can move out, and a different villager is excluded. Whenever the game decides to move out a villager, it can pick from any in that pool; there's no order to it. And since move outs are partially influenced by friendship levels, it makes sense that the most recent move-in has a slightly higher chance of asking to move out very soon after they move in. Going through the entire pool is just to see who's excluded. Again, these all completely uneducated assumptions.
