Question about Island Tours

So today, I invited Zell (my first camper), laid a plot of land for him and an additional plot and went on an Island Excursion where I got Boyd.
So now, can I buy another plot of land and go on a another island excursion tomorrow or should I wait for both of these villagers to move in first?

You will have found this out by now, but I believe that it's just the one plot of land that you can buy per day. Answering in case this helps someone else.
