Question about inviting an amiibo villager in

So when you have 10 villagers and you tell Wisp that you want to replace a current villager with an amiibo villager, would this amiibo villager move into the exact same plot as the one you're replacing, or a different spot? Or does it differ from time to time?

In my experience, they *almost* always move into the same spot. VERY frustrating when you want to clear out a place where you have plans for something else!

They do tend to go to the same spot but it's not an absolute.

I also have ten amiibo's.
You MUST plot reset to be safe, as amiibo's tend to move next to, behind, beside, AND in front of you. ^_^

Just keep plot resetting until they do. ^_^
