I haven't played New Leaf since May and ask what would happen if I went back on today, but before loading my town, what would happen if I set the day back to yesterday, which would be the Harvest Festival. Would everything just play normal?

Edit: Also wanted to ask about a villager requesting to move and me quitting (for months) before their due date. What would happen then?

Yes, you'd be able to play through the Harvest Festival, as you can with all other holidays. The only thing you can't replay through is your birthday for that year - you'd have to time travel to next year.

They'd be gone. Even if you turned off your game before you could tell them yes, they would have moved out. If you told them no, then there's a higher chance of them still being there, but they may have moved out later, considering you haven't played since May. If you want, you can time travel back to the last time you played, if you can remember the date, and time travel day by day and talk to them until they get tired of talking to you just to see if they still plan on moving. I think they'll tell you 2-3 days before they plan to move out. If you deny their request to move, you're free to time travel forward as far as you want. That's what I've been told anyway, so it should work, but don't hold me to that. :p
