question about dream towns + custom designs

one of my secondary player characters, illusion, has a few original pro designs with her. they're dresses in different colors. (i plan to eventually have six, but i think as of now i only have four or five.) the idea is that these are dresses of illusion's design and that they can only be obtained or seen by talking to wendell while visiting the dream town. this means that the dresses that illusion has aren't even displayed anywhere in town, or at able sisters.
it's just occurred to me that i don't know if custom designs are available to dreamers if they aren't actually displayed in town. would it still be possible for illusion's dresses to be obtained from wendell, or would i have to display them somewhere? on that note, when i tell luna that i'd like to let people take my custom designs, does that also let people take the designs from my secondary characters??

i hope this makes sense and isn't stupid or anything...i'd just appreciate some answers!

I believe he only carries the ones that are either on the ground, currently worn, or on display in the Able Sisters shop.

Same thing Kimi said. To add on, if you place it somewhere through a secondary character, Wendell will still carry it as it's placed somewhere in your town, no matter which character placed it.

Hmm, not entirely sure, but I think you'll be able to since it's still technically part of the town (residing in one of your houses). Try placing it just in that house, and if you want I can visit your town through Dream Suite and check if it worked.
