Question about custom codes

Today i noticed it again. A visited a creator to browse in it's custom codes. I noticed that a set of path codes were posted twice. 2 sets of identical path codes but with the 2nd set there was the addition of transparent. i noticed 1 pixel left blank with all the codes that had that addition: transparent.

I have seen this before in codes but i have no idea why this is?! Can someone explain why this is?!

Are you talking about the Custom Designs when visiting someone's island from online or from the Dream Address?

Oh i mean online when you open the app. And you browse threw all design codes from 1 creator.

I assume you're talking about the Custom Designer on the Nookphone and using the Kiosk to look at the creator. Well you can search up their custom designers as long as you know what their maker ID is. It should be on the left side when you see one of their designs.

Yep and if you explore one creators designs, some of them are posted twice. But the 2nd design has 1 pixel blank. And instead of stone bottom right, it’s called stone bottom right transparant. I don’t know why this is. Is it maybe because they then change color with the seasons?!

Maybe so, I don't know much how designs work in this game, but just so you know once you download someone's design you can't post it as your own.

Designs with at least one transparent pixel will follow the shape of in game paths placed down before you place the custom design on top of it. You can make more dynamic paths this way. Here's an image I found on reddit (by user Lousy_Username) to showcase this better.

The red square on the top does not have a single transparent pixel and the one on bottom does. Notice how it contorts to the grey stone path.​

I alway’s thought every design code would fill only the boundries of in game path’s. Apperently not. And i have thousends of hours in this game lol. Oh my gosh!

I used a fall path I found and didnt realize that the custom path would overlay the in game one(I thought once I put the new one down the old one would be removed). It looked so nice with the cobblestones showing through but for some reason one piece(the center one that didnt have any special fall design but just looked like dirt) was not transparent and it looked weird next to the ones that were. so i had to remove the old path and lose the pretty cobblestone look. it was still nice but not as nice
