Question about bought villagers

I got a villager from someone a while ago, and they constantly talked about their mayor, and sang their town tune. Do they actually stop talking about this once you get a high friendship, or does it continue forever? I've seen mixed answers on this topic.

I think they continue forever; though, if you don't talk to them a whole lot they might not bring it up as often or at all I'm guessing I could be wrong but yeah :3

I don't think they ever stop, I got Ruby a long time ago from another cycler and she hasn't stopped since the day I got her LOL. I think I got her last year, i'm not sure though. I have a high friendship with quite a few of my villagers, Genji being one of them and he still hasn't stopped talking about his old town. He even says he uses the town tune as marathon music LOL.

I don't think they stop, but it doesn't really bother me so I don't care.

Most of my villagers are from other towns. They have never stopped singing town tunes or talking about mayors. They also never stop talking about mayors that have visited for signatures.

Yes. It is indeed interesting to remember where your villagers came from. I have villagers from several towns.

Lol, in one day my opinion on villagers talking about their old towns has completely changed. I got Muffy from someone, and she proceeded to sing their town tune. The funniest part was, their town tune was completely silent. XD

The villager keep talking about the old town that they use to live in. I like it when they do that. It reminds me that I got them from a cycling town or from my secont town.

All of my villagers have come from other towns, so they all talk about their old mayors. Ruby is constantly talking about my old cycle Mayor & the town of Woodbury & it's town tune, at least twice a week.

I'm pretty sure they speak of their previous town(s) forever. I've had a couple of voided villagers appear in my town, and no matter how long they stay, they always bring up their past town history at some point or another. The best bet would be to just not talk to them a lot. Or if you have the patience and time, cycle them out and cycle a "fresh" one in.

I bought Fauna and Stitches from somebody months ago, and they only did that once. A few days after they moved in I think, then it just never happened again. It must be different for everyone.
But then again I don't talk to them as much as some others, so maybe that's why lol.

but correct me if i'm wrong,
i realized they brought it up less often the longer they are in your town and with better friendship.
but it doesn't bother me at all though,
that makes them more realistic since they really moved from another town ♥
