Question about blogs

I'm not trying to sound desperate for attention since my entries get a lot of views, but why doesn't my blog attract too many comments? I have good ideas and interesting information about my town, but it still doesn't get comments. Is it that blogs are quiet on TBT, or that my blogs aren't interesting enough to get comments? Again, I don't want to sound desperate for attention, I'm just feeling ignored.

Not many people use this site for blogs, i bet some people don't even know about the blog feature here.

You might get more attention if you used a widely-known platform, like Wordpress or tumblr.

Tumblr is a good place for this. The ACNL fandom is huge there,
And I follow a lot of AC blogs on there.
TBT isn't really a blog place for most people :/

If you look at the very bottom of the main page of TBT,
very few blogs are made, compared to everything else.

Nobody really looks at the blogs much. It's not necessarily that you're a boring person, but more of the fact that it's not a popular feature. I rarely post blog entries unless something's on my mind or I want to share something that's happened on TBT.

Sort of like how I don't see anyone using the albums feature around here.

There's no way I'm joining Tumblr. Not only I registered for too many sites, but Tumblr is one site that I have no interest in.

The blog tree used to be a more utilized service than it is these days. Many people lost interest, or just don't seem to care too much about it. An above poster mentioned a Wordpress or Tumblr. Since you're not okay with Tumblr (where it would get more views) then your last option is a Wordpress log. They don't really get passed around all that easily, and you won't receive many views at all on it.

I use the blog feature to keep records on my town. Past villagers, etc. Many users utilize it for similar purposes, so it's become more of a note feature than blog in my opinion. Tumblr would be your best option, as I've never even heard of the other suggestions.

is there a reason why you have no interest in Tumblr?
it's probably the biggest acnl blog community and if you want comments and views,
that would probably be your best bet

OP, it's definitely not you or your content. Blogs on this site is just not the focus for most users, so you are just not getting a lot of traffic, that's all.

Thanks for the advice, but to me, I'm okay if I don't get enough comments. If I'm not popular because I'm primarily using an unpopular feature, then that's fine. Besides, vBulletin sites don't have very busy blogs.

If I do get a wordpress account, I'll probably copy everything I written on my blog here and put it there, but that sounds like plagiarizing, which is bad. I could take the risk since those are my blogs, but I'm not sure if it's okay.

Also, when a community is smaller, more people on one site will know one person than what you see in a larger community. It's like city life vs country life.

Tumblr is more overrated than McDonald's. It's harder to get popular on a site that attracts more users than a site that attracts fewer users. That, and there are several groups on Tumblr that are discriminatory towards people who have even one Tier 5 villager in their dream town (and more than half the villagers are on Tier 5).

If you wrote it, it's not plagiarism. If you're not so concerned with hits then why would you move your blog to begin with? That kind of seems like a waste of time to me.

Well I can't move my blog, but I can copy it to another site that recognizes AC very well. Right now, I want to enjoy my time on TBT. When the time comes, I'll be ready to start a new wordpress account and copy what I written here to there.
