Question about amiibo villagers and the 16 villager cycle

So it's been shown that amiibo cards override the 16 villager cycle rule, but what about inviting them back from someone elses town who used their amiibo card. So for example, Plucky moves out because I hate where she's set up shop - however she's one of my dreamies. Can I go and convince Plucky to move back into my town again through my friends Plucky (that she's moved into her town by using her own Plucky amiibo card)? Does it bypass the 16 villager rule still? Or does it have to be a direct amiibo scan only to work ? Thank you !!
ps. if anyone has a link to a compilation of the very popular villager pixel sprites that's used frequently in signatures, please let me know!!I would really love to create my own signature with those sprites. Thanks again

I'm sorry to say, but unfortunately, this will not work. You'll need to scan Plucky's amiibo card into your town to bypass the cycle.

As for the villager sprites, here you go. The source is gone, however, is preserved here via the wayback machine. I believe I have the .zip files (contains additional NPCs, items, flowers, fruit, etc) laying around on my PC somewhere, if you're interested in those let me know.
