i’ve been wondering this, but upon scanning an amiibo card into new horizons and inviting that villager to your town, will they then have the updated new horizons version of their home layout, or will it just be like their new leaf homes? random question that i haven’t seemed to find the exact answer to. i’m really picky about my villagers being original and having all their furniture, so i definitely want them to have their new houses and stuff! if anyone knows anything from experience please lmk. thanks! hope this makes sense

It will be the updated new horizons version. Almost all of the furniture in new leaf is not in new horizons. I scanned in Gigi and her house had all new furniture compared to her new leaf house. I know that people are still trying to figure out everyone’s houses. Hope this helps!
