Question about amiibo cards

Ok so I recently bought some series 1 amiibo cards because I want Samson to come back to my town. Luckily in the 3 packs I bough I got his card, and when I swiped it in and asked Samson to move in with Whisp I thought that the next day his RV would be there so I just saved and quit and got on the next day. That day when I got on Samson's RV wasn't there, and when I tried to ask him to move in again the option wasn't available. So how exactly could I get Samson again using my amiibo card or will I never be able to? Also just to be clear when you ask them to move in is it the day you ask them to move in their RV will show up?

Well now I heard that they don't show up in RV's so will he just move in at will or how does this work? I'm really confused...

The series 1-4 villagers won't have RV's, only the new villagers will show up in those. But it can take a few days sometimes before they move in, so I wouldn't worry just yet.
and you can use his amiibo card more than once in the future in case he moves out again

Wisp should have given you an option that says "Move here!" or something similar. I carded Snake into my town and he moved in the next day.

Every villager I've scanned with an amiibo card that I asked to "Move here!" has plotted the next day.

The only characters that will have RVs are NPCs from amiibo figures, and characters who are in an RV on their amiibo card, so Series 5 and Sanrio characters.

When I scanned Ganon, I asked him to move from the RV and he didn't show up for another 3 days...so it does happen

Your question was basically already answered but all just reaffirm it. Using amiibo cards to get a specific villager doesn't put them into an RV. I've done this a couple of times and you just get the option to have them move in. Both times I've had the plot show up the very next day, but I'm sure there is a chance that it could take a couple of days... I haven't personally experienced it taking a few days, but there's always the possibility.
