Question about a villager in boxes

So my Marshal is currently in boxes and my in-game date/time is 22nd November 1:04 AM. I still want to keep Marshal in boxes until I find a replacement, so is it ok if I set back the time to 21st November 6:01 AM? Thank you.

Yes, you can do that without losing him. Make sure to be extra careful.

Yes, that's fine. It doesn't matter if you go past midnight, what counts in the game is whether you go past the 6 AM mark or not.
