Is there anyway to get more space because I'd like to add more designs to my town but if I replace them my town will look bad. If I make an alt character could I place more designs down?

People make alt characters to hold more designs, so yea you can do that.

Yes, If you made more characters you could have them hold the patterns.
The only problem is that you have to switch back to them if you accidentally pick one up.
But I think thats the only negative.

Ah okay thanks. Will I have to wait a few days before I can use qr codes like on my main character? Also if I delete the alt after placing patterns down will they be deleted?

I think to have access to the QR code reader, you'd have to befriend Sable again.
And i think yes, the patterns will be deleted if the character is deleted.
