PWP Question!

I'm farming for pwps from villagers right now, and I'm getting pinged but for around an hour now I haven't gotten anything about pwp requests, just greeting changes, etc.

I just started this town a few weeks ago, so I have no pwps at the moment. Do I need at least one pwp built before I can receive requests, or am I just having bad luck?

It helps being good friends with your villagers. And try to build an initial PWP too. But you just might have bad luck.

I seem to get more from the villager I've had longer, hence I'm closer with.

Make sure you take everything out of your pockets and fill them with money, I'm not sure if you've done that, I didn't know it before but it keeps villagers from offering you items, etc. ALSO, sometimes I'll run around after diving for a while, and I still don't get a ping. But then if I talk to a villager and run around again, I'll get pinged. Keep that in mind.


edit: Additionally, if they ask you to change their catchphrase, it's better to just do it. You don't even really have to change it, just type in the same one they have. I find that after I do that, the villager won't ask me a second time to change it.
