Early on in my game, I built a 2nd Cobblestone Bridge. On the south side of it, I made a zen themed area. The Roost is there along with a Zen Bench, a Zen Sandbox, etc. Yesterday, I demolished the bridge as I decided a wooden or suspension bridge would look nice leading into this area. However, Isabelle will not let me place it where the bridge used to be. She says it is too close to the zen bell (on the right of the bridge). If I shift the placement to the left, she says it is too close to the zen light. She will however, let me shift it a little further to the right where pretty much runs right into the zen bell which is kind of odd. I am open to suggestions on how to deal with this complication.

Well, that is a possibility and easily enough done I suppose.

thankfully you can do that

I couldn't place my bridge back where I wanted because of the Cafe

should've just fired/exiled Brewster on the spot, not like I ever even set foot in that place anyways

also don't re-build a bridge if you move a mule or a villager near it. Then you won't be able to rebuild it

That's a good point to keep in mind, too. Maybe I should put in my third bridge now as I pretty much know how I want to landscape the rest of the town. I should put it in while I still can.

Yes, now that I am looking at this idea I see I could take the zen light out, too, if needed and totally clear the way to replace the bridge. It is not terribly expensive to rebuild and it will be worth it. I will move my hybrids away and I don't think I will loose more than a couple of hibiscus plants.

Bridges need like 6 spaces of room for whatever reason when you build them. It will let you build other things super close after it's built, but if you demolish and try and rebuild and it's too close to something it won't let you put it back there even though it was there before. It's really stupid.
