Puzzle League Woes

I actually quite like the challenge. I feel like we would all get bored of this mini game really quickly if we were able to get super high scores and beat the game on the first try.

I was totally thinking the same thing! I used to play tetris so much as a kid, also had tournaments but against family members. Lol.
I think the thing that makes it so hard is you can't rotate the cursor. It messes with me sometimes. When I started playing it, I got stuck in story mode fighting off Isabelle but I took a break and came back later then beat her. Then went off to finish the whole thing.
I guess the only tip I have is that it really helps if you can find a combo anywhere fast. Keep checking the bottom areas and maybe do a sort of squint if needed (lol). It gets better, don't worry. Oh and don't forget to use the power move like me. xD

It seems to be possible to get by without an amiibo. I think it's stupid you can only use the figurines, though, and not the cards.

Either way, I'm not very good myself, but maybe I can help a bit...

• Use your power as soon as you get it. You'll get it again quicker, meaning you can use it more often.
• You can get by without thinking too much in easy mode. If you see something that will work, just do it, instead of trying to look for combos and such. Especially with the 2-minute rounds.
• If you haven't figured it out yet, you can press B to add another row to the bottom instead of having to wait for it. It's especially helpful on the slower levels.
• Try and level out your stacks a bit, especially in the garbage drop levels.
• If all else fails, honestly, I've done pretty well in a similar game by just button-mashing.
