Purple Pansy Frustration!

I've filled up over half my beach with hybrid red pansies and blue pansies in hopes of growing a purple pansy because I'm trying to breed a lot of them for my new town. I've been trying for around a week with no luck. What can I do to increase my odds of getting a purple pansy? I do not have access to fertilizer since my town is fairly new. All help is appreciated!

I think I got mine by someone giving them to me, form there I just bred the few I got and now I have a bunch. I know, not exactly helpful.

Make sure you are breeding 2 red pansies that are hybrids from either orange and red, blue and red, or purple and red. supposedly the only way to get purple is by breeding 2 hybrid red pansies.

Sounds like you are doing everything right, just keep trying, I could give you some if you'd like.

I swear purple pansies are the hardest to breed behind blue roses :c I suggest buying at least 2

I wanted to breed them myself, but I think I may just buy them. The wait is killing me!

yeah id suggest buying at least 4 of them, so you can make the full purple square to guarantee at least a few to grow, and butt the red and blue ones around to keep trying too. thats what i did.

They are hands down the hardest to breed in this game, imo. At least with blue roses, once you get them you can breed them quite easily but with purple pansies even if you breed them, I mostly get white or ORANGE? pansies. It's so incredibly frustrating!

I never had this issue with blue roses/purple pansies only because I bought 4 of both from somebody. I'm glad that I did, I can't imagine how annoying it is. x.x

Once you have two purple pansies, it is very easy to breed them. Would you like a couple pansies for free?

I learnt the same way with blue roses. Buy TWO normal red pansys breed them till you have two hybrid red pansys then breed them with maybe fertilizer but you can try without. Beautiful ordinance ccan help also. Like i said this also works with getting blue roses and stuff lol I will not take credit for this though i learnt it off a youtuber called DazzaBound. I understand your frustration, back when I was fairly new to ACNL, I got so frustrated trying to breed hybrid red flowers, I just went and bought them once I made enough bells. (Blue and purple hybrids were the most expensive hybrids back then) But since hybrids are fairly cheaper nowadays, you'll be sure to find some on the market

I started breeding for a while and grew a few different types of hybrids, but then it took longer and longer the more I bred, wasn't sure if there was too many flowers in my town or just watering everything all at once. I ended up buying all my hybrids through a trusty trader! And I never breeeded ever again since I just kept buying more and more, now my whole town is full of flowers, I'm so happy ~ <333 but yeah, I think that fertilizers and spacing helps, maybe try different breeding set ups and I also read on the internet that if you water all.. ALL your flowers everyday only very few of them hybrids will pop up than if you were to concentrate on just one kind of hybrid, if that makes any sense.. I'm really not sure if too many flowers play a part in it though. Good luck on yours!
