Is anyone else struggling to make purple pansies? I've been putting hours into making just one, yet all I've gotten so far are orange ones! I was using the hybrid red & yellow, as well as red&red pairs. But neither seem to work and I'm getting so frustrated with it. I'm watering them, planting fertiliser near them and still nothing.

Does anyone have any tips, or websites that could help? I've been following the guide on Thonky but It doesn't seem to be true :c

my first two purple pansies came from a blue pair i was breeding. have you tried blue x blue?

I tried for a long time to breed purple pansies myself, but eventually I gave up and bought a bunch from someone on tbt c: It's a lot easier that way, and they multiply like crazy once you have them (same with blue roses).

Purple pansies are very difficult to breed. I found blue roses slightly harder, but pansies aren't far behind. I resorted to buying them off here and breeding from those in the end but I still attempt to breed my own, try using blue pansies and planting them diagonally. On your beach might be a good idea so villagers can't plant you pansies on the way

Purple = Hybrid Red x Hybrid Red

This is the colour combination you need. The purple pansy was by far my biggest hybrid-breeding struggle.
After weeks of watering them everyday, using fertilizer (and looking up and trying different combinations) and eventually adding a Jacob's ladder, finally...

I bred a purple pansy!

It took me a few days to get my second purple pansy, but then I could finally start breeding them Purple x Purple.
I'd say the Jacob's Ladder definitely helped, I read they increase hybrid chances and a few days after adding it in, I got a purple pansy.

People always complain about the blue roses, but these are just as hard - perhaps even harder to breed. Good luck! :D

I crossbred orange pansies with blue pansies. Whenever an orange pansy spawned, I paired it with another one. After a while, I spawned a purple pansy. I left the purple pansy where it appeared until I spawned other. Then I removed both purple pansies to a different location to spawn more.

jacob's ladders increase chances?? i didn't know that!! does this work when it comes to breeding the same flowers (e.g. breeding two purple pansies to get more purple pansies)?

Thanks so much for all your suggustions and help! I tried the hybrid red x hybrid red and finally managed to breed one purple pansy! Now attempting to do it again to pair both purples together.

Congrats =3=
Sorry about requesting such troublesome hybrids ^^;

Yup, it sure does! I believe it increases the chances of hybrids spawning, instead of simply flowers like fertilizer does. :) Since purple pansies are still hybrids, no matter their ancestors, it would work that way as well.

I made purple pansies by putting them all in a line, using blue and blue, red and red and i used purple and purple in which i got of the internet lol so i made4 purple in a day! Kinda lucky but ye just put them in a arrow sign across a long piece of land and it looks great!

I'll just stick to diagonal patterns. Placing flowers in a straight line never worked for me.
