Sorry if this was already answered but i couldn't find exactly what i was looking for

Anyway, The only options i have left for public works projects are the three different town hall renovations which i do not want to do. I dearly love the original design and think all the other remodels are kind of ugly. It could be possible that i hit the max number of projects allowed but i doubt this because i haven't been playing for 40 days which i think is the max number of projects you can have in your town.

Most of my projects have been street lamps and and benches and when i ask about the citizen satisfaction, they still say my town is underdeveloped...

I don't really know what is going on

I believe the maximum is 30, is it possible you hav hit that?
Also for the perfect town, try planting more trees an flowers, see if that affects it.

when i talk to isabelle she says:

"hmmm..... when it comes to letter writing and town building, I really think consideration is the key."

"don't you think everyone in the town could benefit from that little bit of good advice?"

"the citizens also say that they feel normandy is underdeveloped. they want more public works projects!"

-how can i build more projects when i hit the max? am i being penalized for having a bunch of the same items out in my town?

Seems like she's hinting at writing your residents letters.

Also, I have over 20 projects in my town and a whole bunch of trees, flowers, and bushes; She's also telling me that my town is under developed. My friend only had 7 projects when he got his perfect town, so I don't know what's up.

When you hit 30 projects, your list will only show town hall remodels and stuff like the Resetti center that don't count toward your 30 projects.

Animals will continue to suggest new projects, and those will be added to the projects list, but you won't see them until you demolish something and have the space to build a new project.

I think there is also some required bells expenditure for your town to be developed enough to qualify as a perfect town. 30 low cost projects sounds like it might not be enough.

this is exactly the answer I've been looking for, thanks!! So I don't need to stress about how many thing I build, I can just start demolishing if I max out.

As far as the undeveloped issue, you could try adding lots of flowers and trees, that helped my friend more than public works actually did. Townies are really into that. We helped her bring back loads from the island (garden tour, everyone fills pockets with flowers, do 2x, bring back way more than enough flowers)

You mention you have lots of street lamps and benches. I think they come from one group of PWPs (let's call it group A) but you also need some buildings from Group B (police station, fountain, lighthouse, bigger projects) to get your Perfect Town Status. Hope that makes sense!!

It could be the street lamps. I read somewhere that luminous pwps bring your score down. I have a ton of them too, but my town is still underdeveloped. I am working on adding some others.

Hope this helps! :)

i was honestly worried that i had too many street lights and wasnt diverse enough. It could also be that they are all super cheap... i never thought of that. thanks for the advice

and thanks everyone else for the advice.

I've sadly started to demolish my streetlights

From what I've read, you need to space out PWPs and buildings into your map so places are filled and not totally empty.

I think you need to think of the acre system of the original AC and try placing various projects in different "acres" and see if that helps.
