The EU PlayStation blog says new store content will be live before lunchtime because there will be no access to from 4pm.

So if you want to get your hands on the likes of Joe Danger, the Backbreaker demo and FirstPlay 010 before the extended downtime, you better get downloading.

Wow, that's a lot of crap for a massive update that takes me hours to download and is compulsory :/

I don't own a PS3 but they should have half and half updates so it would run much faster.

Yeah, agreed.
They make every Update compulsory before going online, even if it's an update for the store. Also, because my internet speed is only 0.5mb, it takes about 5-7 hours to update a 150mb update, which is just rubbish.
