Hello everyone,

I just wanted to share some information I just learned today and the hard way... Tom won't let you build more than 8 bridges and 8 inclines on your island.

When you casually go ask for a ninth, like I just did, he casually tells you have to demolish one before. I am not sure about the reason behind this limitation, but not being told this earlier feels quite a bit unfair. I got lucky with my seven bridges but now I'll have to take down my lighthouse incline if I want to access my brand new museum deck. I am lucky I can afford this because of course you have to pay for demolition and for the next construction (in addition to an added day of construction for non-time-travellers players like I am, since you can't demolish and build on the same day).

I hope this little message will save you time and bells,, it's a lot less bothersome when you are warned in advance :)

Thanks for the information.

I already knew, but I hadn’t really thought about it being unfair though. I agree with you that there’s no reason we shouldn’t be told the limit in advance. It might’ve always been that way—but that’s honestly a poor excuse. In a game so heavy on design and landscaping it’s definitely better to know the facts early on.

i already knew and it kind of sucks ;; a warning once you unlock them would’ve been nice, like a casual “hey island rep, just a heads up you can only have 8 inclines and 8 bridges”

I don't mind limitations, I think I'm pretty forgiving with this game little flaws. But it keeps encouraging you to be creative, the community shows amazing islands and ideas so even for not-so-creative people like me, you end up managing to try new things.

Just a warning would have been nice, like when you terraform for the first time, you get that you can't make double cliffs, or do crazy waterforming and it's okay, as long as you know the rules of the game.

I would like some kind of permanent ladder that wouldn't take as much space as an incline, for small areas like lighthouse cliffs or redd's beach.
I was thinking this the other day! Why not let us set some ladders down, especially since there’s an incline limit? I think it would add a nice aesthetic to the island, too.

yeah it would be so cool to connect two second or third story pieces of land together , it would give a new dimension to the game I think

Actually, I think you can have about that if you build an upper cliff left and right, make waterfalls towards the ground section inbetween and build a bridge between the two upper water parts.

is there a picture of this? I'm having a hard time visualizing

I'll try to find one but have you seen th entrances with waterfalls on each side of the path ? You build something like that and bridge it above

I already know this but those inclines/bridges limit doesn't make sense to me, like why can't we build more? As someone who is planning to build cliffs often, those limits are a joke and really takes a toll in our build to the point wherein we need to settle for different build just to comply with the limit...

Thanks for letting us know, I'm addicted to building bridges and inclines. It takes all my Bells. :giggle:

Maybe something like steps carved into the cliff face. That would look and be awesome!

Wish they would share a 16 limit. I just need 3, maybe 4 bridges, I want to use the rest up for inclines. I love having mountains, let me make more accessible cliffs please.
