I never use my PS3 because there isn't as many fun games for it than the PS2
Does anyone recommend anything? I am thinking of getting Dark Souls but I heard it's very hard, I mean challenge is fun but I want to enjoy the game too
I like RPGs the best. thanks

I'll be honest: I used to want a PS3 so bad, for years, but since I've had it, I mostly use it for Netflix, Youtube, and DVDs, since I have it in my room. I haven't really found a whole lot of games that appeal to me, and I don't know what games you've played, but I've enjoyed Assassin's Creed I through Brotherhood (although Brotherhood's my least favorite out of the three), Okami, The Walking Dead, and The Wolf Among Us. It game with Bioshock, but I haven't gotten around to playing it.

I've heard that Dark Souls is pretty hard, but if you have a really good guide and take the time to grind, it's not terrible. I think one of the bigger problems has to do with a particularly glitchy and awful area of the game. I haven't played it myself, but I've heard a ton of good things about it, so it might be worth a try if you really want it. I think Gamestop only sells it for $5, or at least they did the last time I looked, so it's a lot less of a disappointment if you buy it and don't like it, than if you paid $40+ for a game on a different console that you ended up not liking.

I would definitely recommend Dark Souls, it does get difficult at times and it has that fanbase that gives it a bad image, but at it's core , it's a great game.
I would suggest maybe playing Demon's Souls before, it's the first game in the Souls series, there's no overall story linking all games, any can be played in any order. It should be less difficult than Dark Souls because the development team got too confident with giving their game hype just from difficulty. Overall, it generally has the same mechanics as Dark Souls in terms of combat, magic is handled differently though (speaking of magic, try magic if Dark Souls gets too hard, it's OP in that game) and Demon's Souls is multiple levels in a hub rather than the open world of Dark Souls.

Also, Blighttown can be skipped. I'm assuming that's the "glitchy/awful" area mentioned in the post above. It's generally dreaded because of it's frame rate issues on the console versions.

On the PS3 I mostly just play Skyrim, even though most people don't like vanilly Skyrim, I actually do, it's simple enough for me to play because I love gaming, but I suck at it. My boyfriend really likes shooters, especially ones he can play with others so he plays a lot of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, Call of Duty: World at War, and GTA. He also plays Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy, some others I can't think of right now, I mostly just watch because like I said, I'm a noob, and I can't aim to save my life. I did just buy Alice: Madness Returns for myself but haven't gotten to play it much, my boyfriend plays a lot. We are going to try to get some working controllers for Guitar Hero and then we'll be playing that CONSTANTLY, we do use it a lot for amazon prime and netflix and stuff as well. There are still lots of games I want to get for it.

Dark Souls and Demon Souls are both pretty good games.
I personally didn't feel they were anywhere near as hard as people made them out to be. As long as you don't play it like it's Devil May Cry or something, you shouldn't have a problem. The games themselves are good though and I liked the art design in them.

I know they're remasters but the Final Fantasy X/X-2 and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 remasters are great, especially if any of the games in them you haven't had a chance to play before or you never got the chance to play the 'full version' originally.

I haven't really played many RPG's on the PS3. I know they exist and I usually play most RPG's, I just didn't get around to them for some reason (they're still in my Amazon wishlist).

ummm, Uncharted 1, 2, 3, Tomb Raider reboot, Mass Effect 1, 2, Tales of Xillia, Ni no Kuni, Catherine, Just Cause 2, Grand Theft Auto 5, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, LittleBigPlanet 2, Dishonered, Folklore, Heavy Rain, Rayman Origins, Ratchet & Clank (most of them), Project Diva F, F 2nd. like there are a ton of games available for PS3, not including digital titles

I have to also agree with dark souls and demon soul's. Both have amazing atmospheres on the level of silent hill 2. The combat system is really simple yet so hard to master. But it feels so damn good. I also have to recommend persona 4. Think of a very story heavy life sim mixed with very good jrpg mechanics that are actually kind of fun and require a bit of strategy. The characters are all extremely well written and you just get sucked into this story. My first playthrough was 70 hours and not a single bit of it was dry. The game is really good and you could get it for like 9 bucks on psn, I believe.
